Chocolate Cherry Energy Bites

Looking for a new protein ball recipe?

The other day my daughter asked for “chocolate balls”. We have made many different chocolate protein ball recipes in the past but I wanted to try something new. We came up with these chocolate cherry energy bites.  











Chocolate Cherry Energy Bites

Servings: 24 balls

Time: 30 minutes


Ingredients
  • 1 cup Raw almonds

  • 2 tbsp Hemp hearts

  • 3 tbsp Cocoa powder

  • 2 cups or 20 Medjool dates

  • ¼ cup Mini chocolate chips

  • ¾ cup Dried cherries


    Directions
  • Add almonds, hemp hearts and cocoa powder in food processor or high powered blender and process until coarse meal texture.

  • Add dates and dried cherries and process until mixture is slightly sticky and sticks together when rolling into a ball. If too dry add more Medjool dates. If too sticky add more hemp hearts.

  • Add chocolate chips and mix together until combined.

  • Roll into balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet.

  • Place in fridge until hardened, 1 more hours. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.
